OUR STORY
WHERE IT ALL STARTED
Advantage Approach was founded from a lifelong connection to dentistry and a clear understanding of the gaps that exist within practice ownership and transition.
The firm’s roots trace back to decades of hands-on experience in dental offices. Co-founder Debbie Rebkowich began her career as a Registered Dental Assistant before moving into practice management, where she specialized in operations, team development, and improving profitability. Her work repeatedly highlighted a core issue within the profession: dentists are expected to run complex businesses without formal training in management, finance, or long-term planning.
That gap became even more evident through Tyler Rebkowich’s path into the profession. While initially pursuing dentistry, Tyler recognized that his greatest impact would be on the ownership and transition side of the profession. Through close relationships with dentists in training and early in their careers, he saw firsthand how practice transitions often lacked transparency, proper guidance, and true advisory support.
Together, Tyler and Debbie founded Advantage Approach to change that experience. Their vision was to create a team of transition specialists and advisors who combine deep operational insight with practical transaction experience—supporting dentists not only at the point of transition, but throughout the entire ownership journey.
Today, Advantage Approach operates as a modern dental advisory firm built on transparency, fair fee structures, and long-term thinking. The team works alongside buyers and sellers before, during, and after transitions, helping dentists protect the value they’ve built and move forward with clarity and confidence in a changing industry.

My professional journey has been shaped by two consistent themes: teamwork and service. From competitive hockey to my early exposure to dentistry, I’ve always been drawn to environments where trust, leadership, and shared goals matter.
While I originally set out to become a dentist, I quickly realized my impact would be greatest on the business side of the profession. I saw firsthand how often dentists are asked to make life-changing decisions, buying, selling, or transitioning a practice, without the clarity or guidance they deserve.
I founded Advantage Approach to change that experience. Today, I work closely with dentists at every stage of their careers, helping them understand their options, protect the value they’ve built, and move forward with confidence. For me, this work is about more than transactions, it’s about building long-term relationships and supporting the people behind the practices.
